Shonu Chandra
Shonu Chandra, Director

Shonu has covered a significant part of the world experimenting, teaching, training, designing and evaluating child-led media projects. His work with media and children is well recognized and awarded. He has been involved with various educational institutions and companies in various capacities. He is passionate about merging travel, media and education to create exciting learning opportunities for young people worldwide.

Adam Gassner
Adam Gassner, Manager, Program Development

After travelling to 5 continents over the years, Adam finally found India. He holds a Masters degree in International Relations, and Bachelors degrees in International Development and Political Science/History. As an experienced world traveller, he recognizes the invaluable role that travel plays in enhancing education. He hopes to add even more stamps to his passport while introducing students both to the world around them and the creativity within them.

Raj Banerjee
Raj Banerjee, CG Artist & Video Editor

Raj has a love for breaking things before putting them back together. This probably led him to do his diploma in editing, where he now breaks and joins images to tell compelling stories. He has worked across the country empowering marginalized children to raise their issues through short video documentaries. His passion is to look at ways in which media can be used to empower learning processes.

Sohail Azam
Sohail Azam, Video Documentation

With a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sohail was able to realize his passion for working with children through various NGOs. He continued on to get a Masters in Mass Communication and subsequently worked with a news channel before moving into education television. He is currently excited by the challenge of empowering learning by mixing education, media and travel.

Christine Massey
Christine Massey, Team Leader, Program Development

After graduating from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata with a degree in Mass Communication and Videography, Christine forayed into the news industry, internet media and marketing, and travel writing. A born traveller, she has traversed the length and breadth of the country, and beyond. Also passionate about children with special needs, Christine has spent a great deal of time with the lesser-privileged, learning, teaching and growing with each new experience.

Arindita Gogoi
Arindita Gogoi, Team Leader, Program Development

After graduating in mass media and mass communication, Arindita worked in the fields of media production, book publishing, social development and alternative education. She has conducted various arts and theatre workshops for children with special needs, and wants to utilize her skills to design experiential education for all. She is a compulsive traveler and loves to read books and indulge in fine arts. She says she must watch at least one film a day to survive.

Vincy Thukral
Vincy Thukral, Sr. Business Development Manager

After graduating from Lady Sriram College, Vincy pursued her diploma in Yoga Science. Her experience in the education industry for three years gave her an insight into the tenderness and upbringing of children. Travelling with students has taught her that travelling is a great opportunity for learning. She believes children have their own unique perception and ways of learning, and that travelling is a strong medium to broaden their vision.

Akhil Khanna
Akhil Khanna, Program Coordinator

An engineer by qualification but a travel professional by choice, Akhil always had a passion for exploring new places. Having traveled through various locations in India and abroad he has mastered the art of travel planning. He brings to the table, his expertise on visa documentation for various destinations, to ensure a smooth head start to all international journeys. Apart from his work in which he is passionately involved, learning about different cuisines keeps him going and motivates him to continue with his explorations!

Aastha Arora
Aastha Arora, Program Coordinator

Aastha is a graduate in travel and tourism and has a background of business administration. She is a thunderbolt of energy and is always willing to ‘give it a try’. She is a natural communicator and feels that the world is a colourful garden. One way to add to the education of children is to let them enjoy and explore that beautiful garden just the way they like it the most – through games and activities. She loves watching cartoons, read comic books and play with kids. She feels it is only by being involved with kids, can we understand the needs and aspirations of these young minds.

Laxmi Narayan Sahu
Laxmi Narayan Sahu, Illustrator

Laxmin first completed his Bachelor of Arts in Sambalpur University, Orrisa, followed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Chandigarh. He began his career as a newspaper cartoonist before moving to Delhi to work with Raj Comics as a penciller and inker. He has experience in a wide range of artistic techniques, and is now applying his considerable talent to developing exciting and colourful educational materials for EdTerra's student journeys.

Rupali Choudhary
Rupali Choudhary, Journey Mentor

After her graduation in Tourism Studies, Rupali completed her diploma in Travel and Tourism Management from Jamia University along with a foreign language (Spanish). With an attitude of facing life's challenges head-on and maintaining a never say die attitude, Rupali enhanced her learning skills & she firmly believes that while interacting with children, much can be learned from them as can be taught. For her, travel + education = Effective and Result Oriented Learning.

Nayely Medina Tamayo
Nayely Medina Tamayo, Program Researcher

Traveling is the greatest force to knock down the walls of most minds. Starting from this premise, Nayely has found in India an endless fountain of knowledge. After completing her education in marketing, she worked as a financial journalist as well as developed special events for marketing of the newspaper she was working with. Her career underwent a twist when she became a part of a program initiated by the Government of Mexico to change the module of elementary education in the country and convert text books into interactive learning tools. Soon after, she started teaching language to school students. She says teaching is one of the most emotionally challenging jobs because a child walks up to you with the most absurd of questions and you know that any answer you give will have a deep and long lasting impact on that little mind.

Jayant Solanki
Jayant Solanki, Camp Coordinator

Give him a mountain and Jayant is literally on top of the world! A trained climber and certified first-aid and outdoor survival expert, Jayant has spent a few years in the field of outdoor learning both in India and Australia. He loves engaging kids in fun filled activities that will equip them with skills to adapt to various challenges that outdoor environment poses. He is a treasure trove of fun games and activities and has worked with children of various age groups as a camp leader, outdoor instructor including rafting and canoeing. In short, he is a true adventure freak!

Mahesh Chandra Joshi
Mahesh Chandra Joshi, Accounts Head

Mahesh graduated from Lucknow University and has spent the past few years doing what he does best: dealing with numbers! He started his career with a leading Chartered Accountant firm in Delhi from whom he learnt the nuances of accounting, and in later years put his richly acquired knowledge to use in a number of companies. His love for travel took him all over the country but he finally decided on settling in his home state of UP. An avid reader and poetry lover, Mahesh has the unique quality of keeping his colleagues entertained through the day!
